Local, state, or federal government offices where customers approach for support and social services carry a lot of traffic. This results in a build-up of unwanted and harmful bacteria in these areas. Thus, a daily and yearly cleaning checklist is mandatory. 

Mopping floors, dusting, cleaning ventilations, and deep cleaning offices, waiting rooms, restrooms, and other public spaces are on your checklist this season. Disinfecting computers and other electronic gadgets must also be performed frequently to ensure hygiene. 

Daily Cleaning Checklist

• Wiping windows, blinds, shades, and front doors.
• Disposal and recycling of papers and trash.
• Clean welcome rugs.
• Mop floors of entrance, reception, corridors, bathrooms, kitchen, and stairs.
• Disinfect toilets and sinks.
• Clean appliances such as refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, and microwave.
• Wash dishes and clean the counter.

• Vacuum chairs, coffee tables, and other furniture. 
• Clean computers, printers, screens, and keyboards.
• Disinfect surfaces, countertops, shelves.
• Clean cabinets, desks, and drawers.
• Empty and wash trash bins.

Monthly Cleaning Checklist

• External window cleaning.
• Carpet Cleaning.
• Check light fixtures and ceilings.
• Mop stairwells.
• Clean walls, ducts, exhausts, and other high-reaching areas.
• Remove cobwebs and accumulated debris from corners.
• Polishing furniture and reception counter.
• Inspect HVAC systems.

Yearly Government Building Maintenance

• HVAC filter change.
• Replace the water filters.
• Wash and clean windows, tracks, and hardware.
• Troubleshoot the property to spot any signs which reveal the presence of rodents or pests.
• Test the fire alarm.
• Check the door closers, latches, hinges, and locks to see if they are fixed by functional performance.
• Replace your light bulbs that are burned out from the interior and exterior.
• Replace the batteries in your carbon monoxide as well as smoke detectors.
• Seal any cracks in the walls, parking track, or inside. 
• Verify the condition of the building internally and externally for any indications of leaks.
• Make sure that the extinguishers will be inspected.
• Check all OSHA devices. 
• Switch to eco-friendly cleaning products.
